This image of a muntjac deer does not come from our garden, but from that of our proof-reader, Mrs A! We are very grateful to her for all that she does for us in this respect … ‘As a hart longs for flowing streams, so longs my soul for thee, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?’ as the Psalmist sang. In a way, this sums up the whole Christian journey of prayer.

Another Psalm speaks of where this will one day take us, in eternity: ‘As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with beholding thy form’.

May God guide you with His Holy Spirit in your own prayer journey, and bless you this day.
