In today’s Gospel the Pharisees rebuke Jesus for the fact that his disciples plucked grain on the Sabbath. His reply is to affirm the mercy of God: ‘And if you had known what this means, “I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,” you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is lord of the sabbath.’

The Divine Mercy is everywhere present … and may we daily affirm it in all our dealings with others. May God bless you this day.
