Today we celebrate the three siblings who offered hospitality to the Lord on so many occasions, and it gives us the opportunity to deepen also at the same time our understanding of hospitality. It has been said that hospitality is much more than an activity, or a ministry, though it is all of these. It is supremely an attitude of mind and spirit that makes space for the other, seeing Christ in them, not only in the guest who comes to the door but also in one another as we live our daily monastic lives.
So may these three saints pray for us, and may we live out this virtue of hospitality to the full, in our own walk of life, whatever that may be. May God bless you in it.
