Today’s Old Testament reading gives us Moses’ last words to Joshua, who would succeed him: ‘Then Moses summoned Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage; for you shall go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall put them in possession of it. It is the Lord who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you or forsake you; do not fear or be dismayed.”’
Those last few words are relevant to us at all times: ‘He will not fail you or forsake you’; and they are words we can and should trust. ‘Jesus, I trust in you’ were the words given to St Faustina by our Lord, and we should repeat them often.
May God bless you, and may you trust Him deeply in all that befalls you this day.
