From our Old Testament reading, from the prophet Micah: ‘Who is a God like thee, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger for ever because he delights in steadfast love’.
The Jesuit poet Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote: ‘All things counter, original, spare, strange; Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?) With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim; He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change: Praise him’.
Let us today adore the beauty of the God of mercy, and praise Him. May God bless you.
