We read in Isaiah: ‘Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert’.

So much has changed in recent weeks, and it seems that life as we knew it will never return. But as we turn to our God, we discover a God of newness, a God who can make a way where none seems possible.

We need to be on the alert, to be steadfast and vigilant in prayer, in order to learn what God is doing. He is known as ‘God of the impossible’, and never more so than in times of disaster. Let us pray constantly: ‘Jesus, I trust in you!’ He will always respond.

May God bless you this day.
