Here is today’s New Testament reading, from Romans: ‘I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect’.

‘Be transformed by the renewal of your mind …’ Transformation is at the heart of the Christian journey: transformation into the likeness of Christ. St Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians: ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit’.

Let us pray for one another on our journeys in the Spirit, into transformation. May God bless you in your own spiritual journey.
