This year, we lose the feast of St Luke as it falls upon a Sunday … but we can nevertheless call upon the patron saint of healing on this day, to ask his prayers for the sick of our world, especially all those who are suffering as a result of coronavirus.

The Psalmist prayed: ‘You show me the path of life; in your presence there is fulness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore’. Our lives take many twists and turns, many of them completely unexpected.

May we trust that the Lord is in them all, working for our good, turning harm to healing; and may God bless you this day.
