From today’s New Testament reading, from Philippians: ‘I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, thankful for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ’.

Thanksgiving, remembrance, joy, confidence, hope – these are the keynotes of this passage. We can take heart from them, especially in Paul’s certainty that ‘he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ’. May we trust His promises, and go forward in confidence. May God bless you this day.
