‘Drop down, ye heavens from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness’. These opening words of the Advent Prose, with their poignant melody, set the tone for today. Here is a stanza: ‘Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, my salvation shall not tarry: I have blotted out as a thick cloud thy transgressions: fear not for I will save thee: for I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Redeemer’.

As we progress through Advent, in these difficult times, let us remember that He is indeed our Redeemer, who truly comes to save us.

May God bless you and encourage you in all that may be weighing on you at this time.
