Here is part of St Mark’s account: ‘In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased”’.

The faces of all those present, including that of Our Lord Himself, are bright with joy. Here in this mystery, the Holy Trinity is revealed. May our faces likewise turn to Him, that we too may be enlightened, and worship the Divine Trinity on this day. May God bless you.
