Here is part of our New Testament reading, from Colossians: ‘Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful’.
Forgiveness is at the heart of the Christian message – ‘forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us’. Sometimes this process can take years, but God’s Holy Spirit is there to aid us. It is a vital step in the way to true peace of heart.
May God grant you this gift, and bless you abundantly this day.
