The Jesuit poet Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote of Our Lady, whom we commemorate on a Saturday, ‘Who this one work has to do, To let all God’s glory through’.
The Blessed Virgin Mary did this perfectly and completely. We too are called ‘to let all God’s glory through’. Unlike our Lady, we may have many obstacles and hindrances to clear away, before we can truly allow God’s glory to shine through us. May God give us this grace, to reach the wholeness to which we are called in Christ, so that we may draw others to Him. May God bless you in this work of love.
