‘Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM”’. These words come from today’s Gospel reading. They echo the ‘I AM’ of God before Moses at the burning bush, and also the scene in the Garden of Olives when the soldiers come to arrest Jesus and ask Him if He is Jesus of Nazareth. He replies, ‘I AM’ and they fall to the ground.

May we truly know Jesus as the ‘I AM’ of God, and in this awareness place all our trust in Him, knowing that He can do all things. May He bless us all this day.
