There is a story about the Star of Bethlehem flower, pictured below. After the Epiphany, when a star guided the Magi to the Christ Child, its purpose was fulfilled. The legend relates that God wished to perpetuate the beauty of that star, and so the star burst into thousands of tiny pieces which floated to earth. These took root and flowered as the blooms we know today. The flower symbolises purity, hope and joy, all of which we can see in Our Lady, who is in a way another ‘Star of Bethlehem’.

May she pray for us, and may God bless you this day.
