Here is part of what we know as ‘St Patrick’s Breastplate’: ‘Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me; Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger’.
In our Lenten journey, we can do no better than to deepen our relationship with Christ. This prayer will certainly aid our efforts, bringing the grace of God to our souls. May God bless you and may Christ be very close to you this day.
