This title of Our Lady is given to a painting which now hangs in the Augustinian Church at Genazzano, near Rome. According to the legend, the town was celebrating the Feast of St Mark on the 25th April, when a cloud descended upon the still roofless church. The church bells rang spontaneously, and the cloud dissipated, revealing the image.

During the Second World War, a bomb fell through the roof of the Church, completely destroying both the high altar and the sanctuary. The image, close by, was preserved undamaged.

It is true that Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, gives us Good Counsel. Let us trust all our needs and concerns to her this day, and may her Son bless you.
