Jesus, facing His death, said to His disciples: ‘I am not alone, for the Father is with me’. These words, from our Gospel reading for today, can be a great reassurance for us. Throughout His earthly life, Our Lord was constantly in the presence of His Father, and constantly in prayer to Him. Even at the hour of the Cross, the cry of forsakenness was a prayer.

His life of unceasing prayer can be an example for us in our daily lives, one we can follow in the midst of busyness. May we know that presence, and may God bless you this day.
