Again, from the Book of Wisdom: ‘Love righteousness, you rulers of the earth, think of the Lord with uprightness, and seek him with sincerity of heart … For wisdom is a kindly spirit …’

To seek God with sincerity of heart is a task not just for those in authority; it is for everyone. St Benedict based much of his teaching upon this precept. We seek God in prayer, but also in our daily dealings with people, in whom the Lord also lives.
