Although very little is known about this fourth century saint, she remains an important figure for both Christian East and West. The Greek Orthodox monastery which bears her name is located on Mount Sinai, in the place which by tradition God appeared to Moses, revealing His Divine Name. Here her relics are preserved, in the oldest continuously inhabited Christian monastery.
