The stained-glass image below is one of a series to be found in St Chad’s Cathedral. These detail the passage of the saint’s relics from one safe place to another, before the relics eventually arrived at their current resting place behind the high altar in the Cathedral. One of these places was Aston Hall, in Staffordshire, where they were hidden beneath the altar in the chapel for a considerable time, it is believed.

May the holy monk, St Chad, pray for us in all that we undertake in Christ’s name, and may He bless us today.
