The Diocesan Novena to the Passionist Priest, Blessed Dominic Barberi begins today – this holy man who has influenced our lives greatly. We pray for his canonisation.

He said: ‘The door opened and what a spectacle it was for me to see, at my feet, John Henry Newman, begging me to hear his confession and admit him into the bosom of the Catholic Church’. He did, and the rest is history, as they say.

We give thanks for Blessed Dominic’s fervour for the Gospel, and for his holy life. May he pray for us, and may God bless you this day.
