St Monica is remembered with great affection as the mother of the great St Augustine of Hippo. She it was who prayed earnestly for her son’s conversion, and her prayer was answered. May her devotion, and her ceaseless intercession, inspire us all to do likewise.

It is also Mother Winsome’s Silver Jubilee of Profession! We give thanks for her faithful witness, for her leadership of us all, and we pray for her; Ad Multos Annos!

And may St Monica pray for us from heaven, and may God bless you this day.
