Today begins that very special time of the Church’s year, when titles of Our Lord that have their roots in the Old Testament are solemnly sung. Today’s, ‘O Wisdom’, is taken largely from the Book of that name and refers to Christ, ‘the power and he wisdom of God’, present from before creation. His wisdom ‘reaches from one end of the earth to another, mightily and sweetly ordering all things’, and so is present in each small details of our earthly lives.

May this this wisdom embrace us, supporting at depth, and may God bless you this day.
