From today’s New Testament reading, from Colossians: ‘As therefore you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so live in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving …’

This recalls some lines from Ephesians: ‘that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God …’

How to be ‘rooted in Christ, in love?’ It happens through the will, supported by our life based on the Gospels and our Christian commitment, our vows, our sacramental life.  May you know this grace in your own life, and be blessed this day.
