Eduard von Steinle’s 1833 painting, which is in the public domain, shows St Luke the artist, painting the Virgin. He also is known for his skills as a physician and is much loved for his healing work, as well as for his gospel, which provides so much insight into the early life of Our Lord, and Our Lady. Much of his information could only have been gathered from Our Lady herself.

May he pray for us, for our healing according to God’s will; and may God bless you this day.
