On this day we remember all the faithful who have gone before us, who have not yet entered heaven and are being purified before entering into the fullness of God’s light. We give thanks for the life they have lived, as well as praying for them in purgatory. We can assist them by our prayers, so it is important that we do remember them.

So, on this day we pray for those we have personally known who have died, and for all the faithful departed; may God bless you this day and be close to you in prayer.
