St Agnes, whose name is included in the Roman Canon of the Mass, died in the year 304. She was a young girl aged about thirteen years of age, when she died a martyr’s death by beheading, after torture. Despite her young age, she did not give in and affirmed her Christian faith up till the end.

May she pray for us, especially when our faith is being tested, and may God bless you this day.
