The Easter Sequence, written originally in Latin, and which exists in a number of English translations, has Mary Magdalen speak. She tells how she saw the tomb, and also the glory of the Risen Christ, with angels. Inside, she saw the burial cloths of Christ, empty of the Body of the Lord. This was enough proof to her that He was risen. She was energized to go to tell the disciples that He had risen.
