Today is also the Optional Memoria of Saints Dunstan, Ethelwold and Oswald, Bishops. All three lived and served in the tenth century. St Dunstan initially served as Abbot of the Benedictine monastery of Glastonbury, where ruins of the church and monastery can still be seen today. Later, he became Archbishop of Canterbury. St Ethelwold was Bishop of Winchester; St Oswald was Bishop of Worcester, who afterwards became Archbishop of York.
May today’s three saints pray for us, that we may all be faithful in our own vocation, and may God bless you this day.
