As Saint Benedict mentions, guests are never lacking in a monastery, and he further enjoins his monastics that all are to be treated as Christ Himself, drawing as always upon scripture: ‘I was a stranger and you took me in’ – Matthew 25.35.
So it is that we welcome those who come to us as Christ, into our guest area. We are able to welcome up to three resident guests. All our guests are welcome at the daily Mass, at the Divine Office, and to pray in the chapel.
There is a small guest Refectory for the use of guests. Individual bookings are taken for overnight stays, and there are facilities for small group quiet days. For these group quiet days we are able to provide tea and coffee, and guests are asked to bring their own packed lunches.
