As Saint Benedict mentions, guests are never lacking in a monastery, and he further enjoins his monastics that all are to be treated as Christ Himself, drawing as always upon scripture: ‘I was a stranger and you took me in’ – Matthew 25.35.

So it is that we welcome those who come to us as Christ, in our two small guest areas, ‘Walsingham’ and ‘Newman’. Each is close to the chapel, and can take three guests. All our guests are welcome at the daily Mass, and at the Divine Office.

There is a small guest Refectory which is outside the enclosure, for dinner and supper, while breakfast is taken in the guest areas. Tea and coffee are always available. Individual bookings are taken for overnight stays, and there are facilities for small group quiet days. For these quiet days we are able to provide tea and coffee, and guests are asked to bring their own packed lunches.
