St Athanasius said: ‘Christians, instead of arming themselves with swords, extend their hands in prayer’. In these days of coronavirus, it is more important than ever that we arm ourselves with the weapon of prayer, lifting up to God all who are in need at this time.

Many are experiencing a degree of solitude that they have never known before, and we pray that one of the gifts of this time – in the midst of suffering – is to learn how to be with ourselves, without distraction.

May God be very close to you at this time, and may He bless you.
