St Wulstan was a Benedictine monk of Worcester, and, in 1062, was ordained a Bishop. He was the only English Bishop to retain his see after the Norman Conquest. One of his great efforts was to try to abolish the slave trade which operated from Bristol.

May he pray for us, that we in our turn may faithfully live out our own monastic vocation; and may God bless you this day.
